Laser Pigment Reduction uses a fractional Q-switched laser to deliver short, focused bursts of light beneath the skin's surface. Photoacoustic energy targets unwanted pigment and fragments it, while a fractional pattern leaves the outer skin layer intact. The fragmented pigment is then cleared by the body's lymphatic system over the following weeks. The non-ablative approach helps minimise the risk of hypopigmentation.

You may feel warmth and a slight snapping sensation on the skin, but most clients don't find it uncomfortable. Mild flushing afterwards usually settles within a couple of hours.

A session is designed as a quick in-and-out treatment, typically completed within 30 minutes.

Around 4 to 6 sessions are typically recommended. Some pigment types may also benefit from occasional maintenance sessions, which your practitioner will discuss during your consultation.

Sessions are typically scheduled 2–4 weeks apart, depending on the concern being addressed and how your skin responds.

No downtime — because the skin is remodelling beneath the surface rather than resurfacing the outer layer, you can return to your normal routine immediately. When superficial pigment is being targeted, the area may temporarily darken and lightly scab as it heals.

Laser Pigment Reduction is suitable for adults across most skin tones and types. It's not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for clients currently taking oral isotretinoin medications.
